radiant heating
Steven M asked:

Hello: I am looking at buying a home with hydronic radiant heat in the floors. It was built in the 1950’s. I was wondering if adding a programmable thermostat to cut back the temperature before retiring would save some $$$. I realize that these types of heating systems heat up or cool down fast.

Thanks, in advance, for any and all replies.

Cheers,
Steve/OHIO

One Response to “Progammable thermostat with radiant hydronic floor heat?”

You could replace the thermostats with programmable ones. It could save you 10-15% depending on how you use it. Also, you could program the specific zones if you have more than one zone and save even more. You just have to make sure you get the proper thermostat as some hydronic systems require a special type. You can find more info at the thermostat page at my source.
