radiant heating
sheltz32tt asked:

Thinking of installing radiant heat under the floors, My wife says that it only keeps the floor warm. I was told it makes the whole room warm. Anyone have an answer?

It keeps the whole room warm We have it in are house and we love it

Floor heating refers to radiant systems that are installed throughout most or all of the floor area of the home. Almost any modern well-built home, regardless of climate, can be comfortably heated with a radiant floor heating system as its sole heat source. In fact, a Warmboard system is the primary heating system for several buildings at the U.S. Research Station in Antarctica

Heat rises.

It keeps the floor warm, but as it rises, raises the temperature of the entire room.

It may not be toasty on the ceiling, but unless you’re really, really tall, that shouldn’t be an issue.

The heat should be fairly even through most of the space where you’ll be living.
